Educate

I educate parents of children with disabilities to that they can more easily navigate special education.

Represent

I attend special education committee meeting with parents and help them navigate the complexities of their local school systems, public or private.

Assist

I help gather data and documents to provide information necessary to place their student in the least restrictive environment, and I review IEP’s and 504 Plans regularly to make sure the student is making progress toward IEP goals, or their 504 Plans accommodations are being provided.

grow

The goal is not one meeting, it is a plan that holds up over time. I help you build a strong IEP, smart supports, and routines that match your child’s learning style. We track what works, we adjust what does not, and we keep moving forward. The result is a school plan you can trust, and a child who gets a fair shot.

Success Stories

These are some of the wonderful kids we helped.

Second Grade Boy

The boy was in second grade and kept getting sent to the office for “not listening.” What was really happening was that he got overwhelmed when the class got loud, and she froze when the teacher gave multi step directions. We helped him family ask for an evaluation, and he got an IEP. The school added a visual schedule, shorter directions, a calm corner for breaks, and a quick daily check in, so she could reset before things spiraled.

Fifth Grade Girl

The girl was in fifth grade and did fine on tests but had trouble during group work and writing assignments. She would argue, refuse to start, or rip up papers, then feel embarrassed after. We helped the family document patterns and push for an IEP meeting. Her IEP included writing support, extra time, a choice to type instead of handwrite, and a plan for structured group roles, so she could participate without getting stuck.

Seventh Grade Boy

The boy was in seventh grade and started skipping classes and hiding in the bathroom during loud periods, like lunch and passing time. Teachers saw it as defiance, but it was anxiety and sensory overload. We helped the family request supports through an IEP. The school added a quieter lunch option, a pass to take short breaks, a trusted adult check in, and a clear plan for re entering class, which helped him stay in school and feel safer.

Second Grade Girl

The girl had frequent shutdowns when plans changed, like surprise quizzes or a substitute teacher. She would put her head down and stop speaking, and then she missed instructions and fell behind. We helped her family ask for an updated evaluation and an IEP. The IEP added advance notice when possible, written directions for every assignment, a reduced surprise workload, and a step by step “reset plan” with the guidance office, so she could recover and keep up.
